Lincoln Cabin Quilt kit 84" 96" Homespuns BBLCQ kit

Woven cotton, stitched together in a scrappy way using only 2 block patterns...a scrappy 16 patch and a star pattern. This replica of an early 19th-century reproduction quilt was created especially for the cabin exhibit at the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield Illinois by Barbara Brackman and Deb Rowden. If you visit the museum in Springfield IL. you will find this very same quilt spread upon the bed in the cabin. I have an agreed arrangement and permission from Barbara Brackman to re-print her instruction for this kit. I think this is my all-time favorite kit in the shop because being an Illinoisan the history of Abe Lincoln has always been of great interest to me. Binding and backing are sold separately (binding & backing are not in the kit)
The stars & 16 patches in this early 19th-century reproduction quilt are pieced with Homespun Woven cotton.
This pattern was created especially for the cabin exhibit at the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois.
Inside this pattern, you'll find history about quilts on the frontier and instructions to create your own version of this reproduction quilt.
Here at Ma’s we have come as close as possible to reproduce the fabric picks to the original ones used in the museum quilt and have kitted it for you to add to your collection.
The Pattern in this kit was purchased from the authors: Barbara Brackman & Deb Rowden. The original booklets are out of print, and the copy that is included in this kit is copyright protected, please do not copy and give it to friends.
Let's protect our designers and allow them to make a living from their artwork and writings. Just the same as we do, at our jobs. Do not deny them this opportunity to make a living. Let's keep it honest!
