Saturday, January 25, 2025, is...LOCAL QUILT SHOP DAY!!!

Since it is the 25th, Ma's will offer a 25% discount on all wide backing in the shop (in-store shopping only). The shop is located at 305 W. Main St., Havana, IL, and is open from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Also...to celebrate I will offer a 25% discount on the ready-made quilts at the Studio 106 N. Schrader St., Havana, IL. 12 PM - 3:30 PM only on January 25, 2025.

Please come out and help us celebrate this day. I do not want to sound dramatic, but shops all over the country are closing their doors. I just read an article yesterday that the number of quilt shops in the United States has fallen from 5000 to between 2200 and 2800 in the last 15 years. Quilt shops, now more than ever, are counting on the quilters and sewers to prove to the world that our sewing machines are not hidden away in closets only to come out to mend the occasional rip in clothing! They are out, well-serviced, and piecing every day!

Please come out to celebrate Local Quilt Shop Day. If you are a Quilter, shop for a new backing. If you admire quilts but do not quilt, come by the studio and get one for yourself or as a gift. Keeping local shops around is more important than you may think. We are a place to let your inter-artist come out in the light of day and enjoy this craft known as QUILTING!
