Welcome to Ma's Got'a Notion
Here at Ma's, we got your back...quilt back, that is!!!
The days are drawing nearer to the holidays. Family gatherings, parties with friends, Decking the halls. Cooking and baking. Shopping left to be done. The hustle and bustle. And at last, the stockings will be hung with care...whew.
Once the family has all returned to their lives, the house is put back in order, and the decorations are again in the attic...It's time to go back to our daily lives of piecing and quilting.
That's where I come back into your life! LOL, I have been waiting for you, and I miss you so bad that I want to give you a personal invite to my "Annual New Year's Day Sale," and I so hope a number of the gifts that will be left under the tree with your name on it is a gift certificate from "Ma's." I know there are many other gifts you may well appreciate getting, like a box from the many well-known celebrity quilt shops nationwide with a fun daily gift for you to unwrap...but wouldn't you like it better to pick out your own fabrics or kits? If you do...remind the Santa in your world that if they are going to spend their hard-earned dollars on a gift for their favorite quilter (that's YOU, of course), then give them a nudge. If they don't feel a GC is a gift worth wrapping, then come into the shop and leave a list of things you would like in the form of a list that your Santa can choose from, address it, and drop it in the mailbox on the counter, and I will stamp it and drop it in the mail ASP. It's my way of ensuring YOU will get that next "gift" project you have your "quilty heart" set on.
One way you can get a monthly gift to give yourself is the monthly "Door Banner," which will start in Jan. 2024. This is a 12-month gift to yourself, which is "a complete monthly gift." There will be NO EXCUSE not to complete this monthly project. Because...for $59.00 per month, you will get everything to complete it every month. You will receive the monthly pattern for the project, all the fabrics to complete the top, the batting, the backing, the hanging sleeve, and the binding! EVERYTHING, and I mean everything! In January, you will get the kit to complete for February. In February, you will receive the kit for March, March for April, and the month following until the year is finished, with December winding up the year, giving you January 2025... How fun is that? We can slow down time by having a fun project to complete each month. I love this idea! Here is a photo of the 1st one you will receive. I have the shop sample pieced and plan on quilting & binding it this week and getting it hung in the shop.
I have one complete kit of Blissful BOM left at the shop. This was the BOM we did this past year. All 12 months are in this complete kit: a 98" X 98" Quilt, 2 pillow shams, 2 neck pillows, 2 bolster pillows, a nightstand topper, and a dresser/trunk runner. The original price for this complete bedroom ensemble was $440.00 and is on sale for $375.00. This truly beautiful ensemble will complement any master or guest bedroom.
You can always ask Santa for this kit, but hurry, as only ONE is left!
Before I let you go, I wanted to remind you that I will be closed this coming Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. I wanted to treat my elves, Debbie, Linda, and Kelly, to a day of fun and good food. Deb is front and center and the overseer of the shop, while Linda and Kelly work tirelessly behind the scenes to piece any tops that Deb or I do not have time to do ourselves. The dependency and trust I have for these ladies are hard to describe. I can only continue this venture with their help, and I am so grateful for their excellent work and lucky to call them friends, too.
As a reminder about the days I will be closed for my annual winter furlough. I will be closed on each of the following days:
Dec. 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023
I will reopen on MONDAY, JANUARY 1st, 2024, for my annual New Year's Day SALE!!! AND Y'ALL ARE INVITED!!!
Enjoy your coming week, and breathe as you go about the seasonal task. And don't worry, there is no bar too high that you can't clear...after all, you know how to cut up fabric and sew it back together to make a whole...that is just one of your superpowers!
