Welcome to Ma's Got'a Notion
Here at Ma's, we got your back...quilt back that is!!!
Fall has arrived here in the Midwest! We are so lucky to live where the trees give us such a beautiful array of colors. As you know my shop reflects the colors of fall, I tend to love the colors that fall brings. Before I was a shop owner, I believed the fall colors were what made me want to become a quilter. I remember the first time I walked into a local quilt shop and saw the owner's taste in fabrics, which were all rich, warm, and homey in toasty rusty browns, genuine greens, and mellow yellows those colors just spoke to me.
It was LOVE at first stitch for me! And we all know where that leads me...where I am today, and what an awesome journey it has been. And, this pilgrimage I have been on will soon be my 20th year in business. More about that in future emails.
Last week I reminded you about the Door Hangers of the Month club starting in November. If you have not yet signed up, we do have a signup sheet at the shop or give us a ring as there are a few spots left.
If you have paid any attention to my FaceBook page then you know what new fabrics have arrived here at the shop over the last few weeks and which new kits....but that will not stop me from giving you a reminder here about a few fall kits I have in stock or about which kits are running low and which kits will add a bit of fun to your fall decorating indoor or out...LOL!
If you have a weenie roast in your near future, the following are all great indoor or outdoor table runners that are inexpensive and will give your fall table a fun fall theme. If you will be invited to a roast this fall, these will be a great gift for your host/hostess.
Each of the above kits includes the fabric for the top, back & binding all for only $19.00 each kit. Square up the top panel, put in some batting, place it on the backing, quilt it (a simple crosshatch is often all that is needed) bind it, and enjoy or give a as a gift. (I often use Insul Bright Batting in my table runners like above, so they can be used as a large pot holder to place hot/warm pans or bowls on to protect the surface of the table). I especially like the one with the flames as a gift for the weenie roast host!
For your own home, any of these fall quilts will be a real winner as a bed topper or an awesome Fall throw for your sofa or chair!
These table runners or toppers are fun ways to add some fall color around the house too:
No matter what your fall plans are, I hope one of your excursions includes a trip to Ma's while you are out enjoying the fall colors!
Fall colors last such a short time...please take time to savor them!
