Use the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool to make this gorgeous table runner.
You will need to bring the following to class:
Sewing machine (yep, please clean and de-lint it before class) so it is ready to rock and roll! Don’t forget your machine manual… should you need to refer back to it. Your quarter inch presser foot is a must!
80/12 sewing machine needles, Sharps are preferred for piecing.
Thread to match your fabric.
Basic sewing supplies: seam ripper, fine pins (we prefer Glass Heads), your rotary cutter with a new blade, 6 ½” X 24 ½” ruler, thread snips, marking tools.
Creative Grids RJAW3, Eat Your Veggies Table Runner Pattern by Cut Loose Press
Please press all fabrics before coming to class. We make liberal use of Mary Ellen’s Best Press when preparing our fabrics for cutting. We like to have our fabric very stiff before cutting. This will help make your cutting and piecing more accurate.
Please cut your fabrics before coming to class.
The Pineapple Trim Tool, the pattern, any notions you need, and the kit or fabric you need are all available at Ma’s Got’a Notion.
Pressing stations and cutting surfaces are provide for the class, but you may bring your own if you prefer. A rotating cutting mat is sometimes helpful.
Time for a lunch break is limited, so a sack lunch is advised or snacks to share with your classmates. You can always run out for takeout if that is a better option for you. Please bring your own drinks in a spill proof container.
Like all school days….you will have “HOMEWORK” which will need to be completed between the class meeting dates….
